The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Architectural Studies is an interdisciplinary major that blends art and design. It builds skills in both hand and digital drawing and modeling, and it uses community-engaged design and studio work to help you design and draw from your imagination while developing artistic abilities and communication skills.
Study areas include Studio Foundations, Architectural and Urban History, Senior Portfolio, Ecological Design, Visual Communication, and Hybrid 3D Fabrication. Courses you may take include Design for Tomorrow, Site Planning & Seasonal Use, and Architecture and the Human Condition, which connect architecture to ethics, community, engineering, sustainability, and real-world site analysis.
The program is an on-campus degree with a guaranteed co-op/internship option. It can prepare you for careers in architectural drafting and rendering, digital design, studio design, spatial planning, and visual communication.
