About this program

The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership is a post-master’s program for educators who want to move into school leadership and build a foundation for further graduate study. The curriculum focuses on educational challenges at local, regional, and national levels, with practical strategies to improve student achievement, strengthen teacher effectiveness, and lead change at school and district levels.

The program is offered online in a flexible format. It requires 36 credits total. One pathway option is Performance Assessment for Leaders (PAL) Preparation, with 16 credits. Students can choose among three pathways: a Principal/Assistant Principal Licensure Track, a Non-Licensure Track, and Performance Assessment for Leaders (PAL) Preparation.
