Global Hospitality Tourism Bs

Global Hospitality and Tourism (B.S.) is an online bachelor’s degree that covers travel and tourism management, hospitality human resources, front office operations, food and beverage operations, and service marketing for hospitality management. Students also complete an internship and career development preparation course and take global leadership development courses focused on cross-functional training and insights into management.

The program requires 120 credit hours and is organized into 60 credit hours of General Education, 45 credit hours dedicated to Global Hospitality and Tourism Management, and 15 major-related credit hours. Core Global Hospitality and Tourism Management includes advisor-approved electives and a Guest Experience Management Program with courses such as Innovative Technologies for Hospitality & Tourism, Resort Operations and Management, and Hospitality and Tourism Experience Management. Students are prepared for the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) exam.

This degree is designed for experienced professionals in the hospitality or tourism sector who need their degree to advance their career, individuals who’d like to start a career in hospitality or tourism management, and people aiming for leadership roles in hospitality or tourism management.

To be considered for admission to UWF’s online bachelor’s in global hospitality and tourism, you must:

• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.25
• Successfully complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better

Application requirements include submitting an application for undergraduate admission (plus a $30 application fee) and being accepted for admission into the University of West Florida. You must also submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended whose accrediting agency is included on the list of UWF approved accrediting agencies, submit ACT or SAT scores, and complete the residency application form.
