Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate

The Human Resource Management Graduate Certificate at the University of West Florida is a fully online program for building the foundations of human resources management. Students focus on the relationship between human resource management and organizational strategy, and they practice evaluating pay, incentives, compensation and benefits. The certificate also covers how to conduct an effective interview and how to evaluate ethical issues related to compensation and benefits.

Students complete required courses totaling 12 credit hours. The course length is 7 weeks, with an estimated program length of 12 months. The program is designed for working professionals. A certificate is also described as a pathway to other degree programs or to advancement in human resources careers, including leadership positions in human resources.

To be considered for admission to the University of West Florida’s online Human Resource Management Certificate program, you must be admitted to the University as a graduate non-degree-seeking student.

• Prerequisites: Candidates are expected to have completed the equivalent of one of the following UWF courses: GEB 5816 - MBA Foundations: Principles of Human Resources Management; MAN 3301 - Human Resources Management.
• Required courses: This certificate requires completion of the following courses with a C or better.
• Participants must secure a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the course required by the certificate.
