The University of West Florida offers a fully online Bachelor of Science in Instructional Design and Technology. The curriculum covers adult learning needs, instructional technology and design, needs assessment, multimedia design, and technology integration, with major coursework such as Adult Learning Theory and Curriculum Development and Foundations of Instructional Design.
Students work through collaborative and individualized projects that apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. The program requires an electronic portfolio and a capstone project that demonstrate mastery of program-level learning outcomes, along with classroom assignments, hands-on activities, applied research, and creative activities.
Graduates are prepared to analyze organizational performance, identify root causes of current or potential deficiencies, and design, develop, implement, and evaluate solutions. The program supports roles across healthcare, government, U.S. military, business, corporate positions, K–12 and higher education, or any organization that needs to improve performance or integrate technology in the workplace.
