Jewish Communal Service Graduate Certificate

The Jewish Communal Service Graduate Certificate at Towson University is a 20-unit graduate program that prepares you for leadership positions in the Jewish community. It supports study across Jewish federations, Jewish family services, Jewish community centers, Jewish camps, Hillel, Jewish organizational life, and synagogues. Core components include three graduate Jewish studies courses and three professional courses.

The program also includes a practicum seminar and a final project. All courses are selected with the approval of the program director. Faculty include scholars and educators with credentials in Jewish studies, Jewish communal service, and Jewish education, covering areas such as Jewish thought and mysticism, Ancient Israel archaeology, Second Temple Period literature and history, rabbinic thought and literature, and Jewish education.
