The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oklahoma City University (OCU) provides a counseling curriculum that supports preparation for state licensure as well as work as a counselor. Students build skills in therapy techniques, behavioral pathology, and counseling theory, with an emphasis on a practitioner-wellness model and evidence-based practice.
The program is fully online and includes flexible remote clinical skills labs. Each course week includes coordinated practice sessions with lab partners, realistic scenarios that use counseling theories and client-centered communication skills, and opportunities to record and review sessions with constructive faculty feedback.
