Master of Science in Applied Science and Technology in Geospatial Engineering Technology

The Master of Science in Applied Science and Technology, with a concentration in Geospatial Engineering Technology, places heavy emphasis on transportation and natural resources. It offers two specialty areas: Transportation and Natural Resource Management. Students acquire knowledge to understand and communicate mathematics for engineering, technology, and physical sciences research.

The curriculum requires 36 credit hours of coursework plus a thesis or a non-thesis project, with an oral defense required for progression to degree completion. Students complete 12 hours of required core credits, 6 hours of research course credits, and 18 hours of restricted electives. The program uses a thesis track with a five-chapter manuscript or a non-thesis track with a three-chapter proposal, guided by a graduate faculty researcher.

Students applying for entrance to the Master of Science in Applied Science and Technology are required to submit an application for admission.

• Official transcript from an accredited school. At least one transcript must document that the student has a bachelor’s degree. If attended more than one school, transcripts must be submitted from all schools attended.
• Immunization Record
• International students must submit Credential Evaluations from an approved Credential Evaluation Service.
• Decisions are made only after receipt of all credentials by the department’s admission committee. The entire application packet, including all supporting materials, must be submitted to the Graduate School.
