Master of Science in Secondary Education in Ncaa Compliance and Academic Progress Reporting Non Teachingp

The Master of Science in Secondary Education (MSEd) offers a concentration in NCAA Compliance and Academic Progress Reporting (APR) Non-Teaching. The program prepares students for advanced preparation to serve as teachers or practitioners in various educational capacities, and it develops tools for leadership in NCAA compliance and athletic administration. Students build practical skills in NCAA compliance and academic programming and develop best practices for APR reporting to support academic success and retention of the student-athlete population.

Students complete a curriculum that requires 33 credit hours of coursework and passing required exit exams. Core education includes ED 512 Foundations of American Education, ED 514 Methods of Educational Research, ED 533 Curriculum Development, PE 539 Foundation & Principles of PE & Sport, and PH 513 Advanced Educational Psychology. Required electives focus on PE 552 through PE 556, plus exit exams: a Core Examination and an Area Examination. Graduation expectations include completing a minimum number of graduate credit hours in residence and passing both exit exams.

• Two letters of recommendation.
• Official transcript from an accredited school. If a student has attended more than one school, transcripts must be submitted from all schools attended. At least one transcript must document the student has a bachelor’s degree.
• Immunization record.
• Decisions are made only after receipt of all credentials by the Department of Agriculture admission committee. The department uses an admission formula to accept students. The entire application packet, including all supporting materials, must be submitted to the Graduate School.

• Standardized Test: The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test is the official standardized test required for admission to the Master of Science in Secondary Education in NCAA Compliance and Academic Progress Reporting (Non-Teaching). WAIVED
