Master of Science in Veterinary Biomedical Science

The Master of Science in Veterinary Biomedical Science at Lincoln Memorial University provides advanced academic learning in the life sciences through graduate coursework, professional development, and research. Students study complex biological systems and build readiness for future study or professional work in the biomedical sciences.

The program is offered as an in-person, full-time option. Completion requires 30 credit hours, with thesis and non-thesis tracks available. A distinctive feature is the opportunity to study alongside first-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students at the Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine for direct exposure to the rigor and pace of veterinary education.

To qualify for admission into the MS VBMS program, applicants must: Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution (or verified international equivalent); Have an overall minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80+; Have completed all prerequisite coursework with a C- or better per course. Applicants may apply while still completing prerequisite coursework and must submit final transcripts once the coursework is complete to remain eligible for admission.

• Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES) or Josef Silney & Associates, Inc. before submission
• Transcripts from Ross University’s DVM program can be ordered directly from the institution without a transcript evaluation service
• Provide two letters of recommendation from the applicant’s instructors, a veterinarian, or a health professions advisory committee
• Provide one personal statement that professionally articulates a response to: How will the MS VBMS program help you achieve your career goals?
• Submit a Full Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Applicants previously enrolled in a DVM program must submit official transcript(s) reflecting DVM coursework and a Recommendation Questionnaire from the Dean or Administrator at the CVM where they attempted or began coursework
• Applicants who attempted or completed DVM-level coursework before or concurrent with their application must disclose that fact in their application materials; failure to disclose may result in immediate dismissal
• Qualified applicants are invited to a brief 10 to 15-minute interview via Zoom with committee members
