This Master of Science in Management Information Systems explores the role of information systems in modern organizations, including technology infrastructure and technology’s role in operations and strategy. The curriculum covers key phases in the system development life cycle (SDLC), with practical system analysis and design, including hands-on planning, analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems.
The program also includes an introduction to information security and risk management, covering confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and strategies for protecting information assets. You study fundamental principles, technologies, and protocols behind modern data communication systems and networks with an emphasis on business environments.
It is a 30-credit-hour program delivered through asynchronous online study. The degree is STEM-designated.
