Masters Architecture

The Master of Architecture at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette includes hands-on design and research. Students participate in the Community Design Workshop, Building Institute, Coastal Community Resilience Studio, and Sustainable Development Lab, where they collaborate with communities and work on real-world problems with stakeholders and professionals. These activities support classroom work and connect research with studio and design.

Architecture students complete a master’s project. They also have the option to write a thesis if they are interested in academia. Learning includes design-build work and project-based experiences such as designing and completing construction documents and building structures. Recent master’s projects include concepts for a cultural center, a building designed for the blind, and a reconfigurable multi-use building.
