Masters Environmental Resource Science Graduate Nina Zamanialavijeh

The Master’s in Environmental Resource Science focuses on graduate research connected to environmental resources and geoscience topics such as mega-landslides. Nina Zamanialavijeh conducted research that involved rock magnetism, sample preparation, magnetic instrument measurements, and study of landslide pseudotachylyte samples collected in the field.

Learning included laboratory work with careful sample preparation and new measurement schemes on magnetic instruments, plus field collection of landslide samples. During her studies, she also served as a teaching assistant. She submitted a first-author manuscript based on her graduate research to Earth and Planetary Science Letters.

After graduation, Nina plans to expand and continue her research by pursuing a doctorate in Geosciences.
