Masters Mechanical and Energy Engineering Degrees

This combined Bachelor’s/Master’s program in Mechanical and Energy Engineering from the University of North Texas helps students combine mechanical engineering fundamentals with energy-related study. The program emphasizes thermal science, fluid flow, and energy; mechanics and materials; dynamics, design, and controls; environmental impact of energy production and use; and entrepreneurship. Students study engineering fundamentals and applications in a research/project-oriented environment.

The program format is on campus. Students take basic math and science courses early in the program as a foundation for advanced classes. Toward the end, seniors complete a Capstone Senior Design project focused on solving real-world issues for an existing local business. The Grad Track option lets eligible undergraduate students earn the BS/MS as an accelerated program, with a limit of nine (9) credit hours of graduate courses that count toward both degrees.
