Masters Mentor Dr Catherine Roche Wallace

This course page focuses on Dr. Catherine Roche-Wallace, an associate professor of horn and theory and the coordinator of graduate studies in the School of Music and Performing Arts. She supports and mentors Master of Music students from prospective recruitment through their time as graduate students and into their time as alumni. She works with students of diverse backgrounds, including international students, and helps orient them to the program.

Roche-Wallace assigns assistantship duties, answers general queries about program expectations, and provides ongoing support. She also implements opportunities for graduate students to contribute to teaching and mentorship of undergraduate students under faculty guidance. Graduate assistants she works with provide assistance as tutors, occasional substitutes, and graders.
