Dr. Daniel Gang is the BORSF Endowed Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and serves as the graduate coordinator for the civil engineering master’s program. His approach includes mentoring graduate students and engaging them in all phases of research projects. Students focus on learning relevant knowledge and building critical thinking and problem-solving skills through research involvement.
Graduate students publish research papers with Dr. Gang, and their work has contributed to US patents. Dr. Gang and his students have published more than 100 papers and contributed to three US patents. He also values external funding and has been principal or co-principal investigator for more than $9 million in grants to support graduate student participation in research projects.
