Masters Mentor Professor Ashlie Latiolais

The Master of Architecture degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is supported by Professor Ashlie Latiolais, an associate professor in the School of Architecture and Design who serves as graduate coordinator for the program. Latiolais’s work centers on graduate student mentorship within the master’s degree program and her role in design studios and master’s projects.

In design studios, Latiolais has advanced graduate program offerings through projects tied to service-learning that contribute to the community. Her studios have also used project-based design competitions focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Latiolais has chaired nineteen master’s projects and served on additional committees, describing the master’s project as a threshold that helps students become professional peers.
