The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Kentucky State University provides graduate business education with elective course work for individual preferences and career enhancement. It offers essential knowledge and skills for business professionals in both the private and public sectors.
The MBA requires 30 graduate credit hours total, including 21 hours of core requirements and 9 hours of electives. Core courses cover Managerial Accounting, Managerial Economics, Corporate Finance, Management Information Systems, Human Behavior in Organizations, Strategic Marketing Management, and Strategic Management (integrative, capstone experience).

The program accepts students with a Bachelor’s degree in any field. Candidates without undergraduate Business degrees will be required to show proficiency in the principles of accounting, economics, management, marketing, management information systems, finance, quantitative methods and statistics before enrolling in the MBA courses. Students without some or all of these proficiencies will be required to complete one or more of these prerequisite courses developed to provide this foundation.
TOEFL: minimum scores of 525 (paper) and 173 (computer). An international student may be exempt from submitting English-proficiency scores if they earned a bachelor's degree or higher at a regionally accredited university located in the United States, or at an officially recognized university in another country where English is both the language of instruction and an officially recognized language of the country.
