Masters Program Has Made This Professor a Better Instructor

This online master’s degree program in instructional design at Saint Leo University focuses on designing courses through modules and using PowerPoint presentations in a more interactive teaching model. Brad Rogers says the coursework helped him change how he approaches the courses he teaches by considering different learners and learner personas.

The program is completed with online communication and collaboration. Rogers used a computer microphone or headset with a microphone, and he collaborated on group projects through Microsoft Teams. He also described flexible assignment timing, including having until midnight on days when assignments were due, while meeting the hours required to complete the program.
