The University of West Florida offers an online Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences. Students study the applications of mathematics and statistics and choose courses aligned with their goals. The program includes a required core of 6 credit hours and additional department-approved electives from statistics, pure mathematics, and applied mathematics. Students complete the M.S. with either a thesis or a non-thesis track.
Classes run at 4 or 6 p.m. Central Standard Time during fall and spring semesters. Delivery is synchronous, with live lectures through the University’s free video-conferencing service, and students have one-on-one communication with faculty and classmates. The program has a core of six comprehensive examination courses, plus thesis or research and capstone options.
