Medical Laboratory Sciences Categorical Concentration Certificate

The University of West Florida offers an online Medical Laboratory Sciences Categorical Concentration Undergraduate Certificate focused on core laboratory categories in hematology and clinical chemistry. The program prepares students to demonstrate entry-level medical laboratory scientist knowledge in the specific category studied, apply quality assurance principles, evaluate patient results, and interact with laboratory peers and supervisors.

Students enroll in courses shared with the degree-seeking program and complete required prerequisite coursework in genetics plus 12 credits of college-level chemistry, biochemistry, and human or mammalian physiology.
