Music BA

The Music, B.A. at Whitworth University combines theoretical and practical study to build a foundation in music theory, analysis, and aural skills. It also develops technical skill for both individual performance and ensemble performance. The program is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.

Students practice, rehearse, and study in the Cowles Music Center. The program includes study with faculty artists and performance development through more than 15 vocal and instrumental ensembles. Music ensembles perform regionally, nationally, and internationally, and students can also take part in Jan Term international study programs.

Graduates pursue pathways in performance careers and music education, as well as roles across the performing-arts spectrum, including conducting, composing, directing church worship, arts administration, music therapy, and entrepreneurship.
