Music (BA) with Elective Studies in Pre-Law

The Bachelor of Arts in Music at Oklahoma City University gives students more non-music elective hours and fewer music-specific hours than students pursuing Bachelor of Music degrees. Students follow a basic curricular track in musical studies while exploring academic and professional interests outside of music. The program includes an emphasized performance component, with Bass School of Music faculty expecting music-degree graduates to be competent performers.

Students complete required music courses and degree requirements, with a suggested course sequence organized across freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. All degrees require a minimum of 124 earned credit hours, and students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours to be considered full-time. Students must receive credit for six semesters of Music Assembly within their first six semesters.
