Nursing - Associate in Science is an associate degree nursing (ADN) program in the Department of Nursing at Community College of Rhode Island. It prepares graduates for entry into professional nursing practice as a registered nurse generalist. The program emphasizes patient-centered care, nursing judgment (evidence-based practice), safety and quality improvement, professional identity, teamwork and collaboration, and informatics and technology.

Graduates are expected to provide safe, quality, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care across healthcare settings and diverse patients across the lifespan. The program outcomes also include applying critical thinking and clinical reasoning, implementing quality measures to improve patient care, participating in collaborative relationships with the interprofessional team, and using information systems and patient care technology to support clinical decision making. The program is accredited by the Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
