The Online Accelerated RN to BSN at Southern Utah University prepares registered nurses for new opportunities in providing quality, evidence-based care to culturally diverse patients across the lifespan. Students develop skills in analysis, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and ethical decision making, with a focus on applying nursing knowledge and related knowledge from other disciplines.
The program is delivered online with personalized learning experiences. It has 30 credit hours and a program duration of as few as 10 months. Students have access to a nursing librarian, online tutoring, and a writing center. Graduates are prepared to apply nursing scholarship, integrate best evidence into practice, and use information technology and communication tools to deliver and document nursing care.
Graduates are prepared for nursing roles including Travel Nurse, Nurse Manager, Flight Nurse, School Nurse, Correctional Nurse, Public Health Nurse, Quality Improvement Coordinator, and Nursing Research Assistant.
