The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Westminster University prepares students to analyze and evaluate scientific knowledge to improve outcomes and ensure quality in health care systems. Students also study health care policy and economics in clinical practice, leadership and roles in advanced nursing practice, and concepts such as epidemiology/population health.
The program uses a hybrid education model that blends online learning with traditional residency-style learning. Students complete the program in 3 semesters of full-time study or can opt for a part-time program. The plan includes building a personal scholarly project in semester 1, continuing it through semesters 2 and 3, and finalizing it in the last semester.
