Physics Bs Uri

This Physics Transfer program leads to an Associate in Arts (Physics Transfer) with the goal of transferring to the Physics B.S. program at the University of Rhode Island. Students complete general education requirements plus the calculus I, II, and III sequence and the calculus-based classical physics I, II, and III sequence.

The program includes course work in communication, composition, humanities, literature, social science electives, and multiple physics courses with laboratory components. It totals 61 credit hours and is delivered at the Knight (Warwick) Campus. It also functions as a Joint Admissions Agreement transfer program that awards an associate degree and entry with 60 credits and Junior status at the receiving institution.

Students completing a JAA plan receive an Associate's degree and enter the receiving institution with 60 credits and Junior status. Students must complete all requirements as given.

Students who are eligible for the JAA program have earned less than 30 college credits at the time of joining and have not attended any other college or university.

Students entering this program should have a strong background in mathematics.
