The Post-Graduate Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) Certificate is designed for nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) who desire or may be currently working in urgent care or an emergency department setting. It prepares graduates to assume advanced nursing practice and leadership roles in the subspecialty areas of urgent care and emergency medicine, using ENP competencies and the Scope and Standards for ENP practice.
This is a two-semester certificate curriculum delivered through a flexible online/hybrid learning model. It uses an online/hybrid curriculum and self-directed learning, procedural skills intensives at the Pomona, CA campus once per semester, and an urgent care and emergency department clinical practice immersion completed in your own community. The curriculum is approved and validated by the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners (AAENP) and allows eligibility to apply for the national certification exam as an ENP.
