Psychology BA

The University of West Florida offers an online Psychology B.A. that trains you to apply psychological science to explain human behavior and mental processes. You complete general education requirements, then focus on psychology through 39 credit hours of major courses, plus 12 prerequisite hours and upper-division electives. The degree also includes a capstone in psychology with special topics.

Program structure includes 120 total credit hours, with up to 90 credit hours transferable from a regionally accredited institution. After completing 60 general education credit hours, you complete psychology and prerequisites, then choose among 3000/4000 level psychology electives. The program is online with a course length of 16 weeks and an estimated program length of 24–48 months.

Graduates may work in schools, hospitals, or other industries. The program emphasizes analysis using psychological methods, research capability, and professional written and oral communication. It also includes options that let you focus learning based on a chosen career plan.
