The Psychology MA is a 36-hour general psychology program built around rigorous research training and broad exposure to major subfields of psychology. Students explore core subfields while receiving hands-on mentorship in data analysis, ethics, and research design, with a focus on making data-driven decisions in professional settings.
The program offers two tracks within the same 36-credit-hour structure: a thesis option and a non-thesis option. The thesis track centers on independent research through a formal thesis project with close faculty work. The non-thesis track emphasizes applied skills and includes a required teaching practicum. Courses are face-to-face.
To be eligible for consideration into the program, you must:
Note: If you don't meet the minimum requirements, you may be admitted on a provisional basis under the guidance of the program coordinator.
Complete the graduate school application and email the following items directly to the program coordinator by May 1: a statement of interest detailing your research or relevant work experience and three letters of professional reference.
