Regenerative Design MA

The Regenerative Design MA at Prescott College is a graduate program focused on regenerative design. Students study how to design habitats, products, and systems for a more-than-human world and how regenerative design can restore ecosystems while empowering local communities and preserving cultural identity. Coursework explores questions connected to indigenous knowledge, multi-species thinking, and design frameworks that address social justice, emerging technologies, education, and related problem-solving needs.

The program is a limited-residency MA that blends online delivery with immersive residency experience at Prescott College or at a field or partner campus. Students complete 36 credits through a combination of foundational courses and later stages that emphasize self-directed, local projects. Learning includes hands-on regenerative design processes, techniques, and applications, with emphasis on iterative design, systems thinking, ecological assessment, and community engagement through collaborative workshops and projects with community partners.
