This Social Science Transfer program with an Associate in Arts (RIC) is designed to prepare students to transfer to the Sociology BA at Rhode Island College (RIC). Students study General Education and major courses in sociology, including General Sociology and Marriage and Family, along with electives selected from sociology, social science, and other categories.
The program includes Communication Fundamentals (work-based learning), composition, lab science elective, and quantitative options such as Statistics for the Health and Social Sciences or Statistical Analysis I. Students complete a structured course list totaling 61–64 hours, with a recommended sequence across two years, and then transfer under the Joint Admissions Agreement.
