Theatre Acting BFA Uri

The Theatre: Acting BFA (Associate in Arts) transfer program at Community College of Rhode Island prepares students to pursue a four-year bachelor’s degree at the University of Rhode Island. Students study theatre acting through courses including Acting I, Acting II, Play Analysis for Production, and theatre foundations such as Origins of Theatre, as well as training in costuming and stagecraft.

The program includes General Education requirements totaling 31 hours and Major Requirements totaling 30 hours, for a total of 61 hours. It uses work-based learning courses in Communication Fundamentals and Stagecraft. Students complete required course and General Education hours and then transfer under the Joint Admissions Agreement, entering URI with 60 credits and Junior status.
