Theatre Performance BA Ric

The Theatre Performance BA - Associate in Arts (RIC) is a Performing Arts Transfer program focused on theatre and preparation for transfer to a four-year bachelor’s degree pathway at Rhode Island College (RIC) or the University of Rhode Island (URI). You study acting through THEA 1140 Acti ng I, movement for actors through THEA 1160 Movement for Actors, and theatrical make-up through THEA 1170 Theatrical Make-up, alongside theatre foundations such as THEA 1090 Introduction to Theatre and THEA 1130 Origins of Theatre.

The program totals 61–65 credit hours and includes general education coursework plus major requirements. Course offerings include options for electives in art, film, music, and theatre, as well as history, philosophy, and world languages. Training is applied in stage and classroom contexts through the acting, movement, and theatrical make-up sequence. This program can be completed at the Knight (Warwick) Campus, with one or more courses completed online.

Students must be eligible for the JAA program. Eligibility includes having earned less than 30 college credits at the time of joining and having not attended any other college or university. Students must complete all requirements as given.
