The Theatre Stage Management BFA at Community College of Rhode Island is a Performing Arts transfer program in Theatre: Stage Management. Students complete general education courses and major courses that build managerial, artistic, and technical skills for theatre stage management. Major work includes Introduction to Costuming, Stagecraft, Play Analysis for Production, and Acting I.
Instruction includes work-based learning courses in Communication Fundamentals and Stagecraft. The program includes origins-focused study through Origins of Theatre and theatre-focused analysis through Play Analysis for Production. Students complete 61 total credit hours, following the recommended two-year sequence, and then transfer under the Joint Admissions Agreement to Rhode Island College or the University of Rhode Island.
