Alvernia University Undergraduate International Students Scholarships

Alvernia University offers scholarships to each admitted international freshman and transfer student wishing to earn an undergraduate degree as a traditional day student at its main Reading campus. The scholarships are merit-based and include the Academic Scholarship and Internationalization Award and a Residential Award, shown as reductions to total costs.

The scholarships are aimed at international students who enroll as traditional day students at the main Reading campus and attend mostly daytime classes. Selection is based on CGPA for new first-year and transfer students, and Alvernia lists scholarship tiers by cumulative GPA ranges and Phi Theta Kappa membership for the Provost option.

To continue the scholarship, students must enroll each semester as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credits) and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Scholarships are renewable for four years (up to eight semesters) at the same amount. Scholarships cannot be combined with any other award, including a government scholarship, so an applicant cannot apply if they are already receiving another financial award.

• Must not receive another financial award, including a government scholarship (scholarships cannot be combined with any other award)

• Residential Award: -$5,000
• Scholarships are renewable for four years (up to eight semesters) at the same amount
