Cochise County Senior Grad Scholarship

The Cochise County Senior Grad Scholarship provides a $500 annual scholarship for Cochise County high school seniors who enroll at Cochise College in the fall semester after they graduate. Cochise College Foundation scholarships are funded through donations to the Cochise College Foundation for the benefit of Cochise College students, and scholarship money is not required to be repaid by the student.

The scholarship is for Cochise County high school seniors enrolling at Cochise College in the fall semester after graduating. Eligibility includes students who earned their GED as part of the Cochise College Adult Education program, and home-school students who are residents of Cochise County. College GPA earned prior to graduating from high school or enrolling full time at Cochise College is not factored into the cumulative GPA during the first semester for this scholarship program.

To participate, applicants must apply to Cochise College, meet with an advisor and declare a degree or certificate, and register for fall classes. Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative college GPA beginning their first semester to continue receiving the scholarship; if the cumulative GPA falls below the stated minimum, the student will not receive the scholarship the following semester. Students must declare a degree or certificate major and register for the number of credits listed for their specific program each semester.

Senior Scholarship funding may be used for tuition for college- and pre-college-level, credit-bearing courses. The scholarship is renewable for the second year. Students must accept the scholarship and complete the Online Acceptance Form by the deadline provided in the award notification; candidates who do not submit the form forfeit the scholarship to another qualified applicant. The scholarship may be deferred up to two years following high school graduation when advance documentation of post-graduation service is provided, and students should contact the Financial Aid Office prior to leaving for service.

1. Apply to Cochise College.
2. Meet with an advisor and declare a degree or certificate.
3. Register for fall classes.
4. Scholarship Acceptance: Accept the scholarship and thank the donor by completing the Online Acceptance Form by the deadline provided in the award notification.
5. If the Online Acceptance Form is not submitted by the deadline, the scholarship is forfeited to another qualified applicant.
