Contra Costa College Foundation Scholarships

Contra Costa College Foundation Scholarships are scholarship funds provided to students by the Contra Costa College Foundation, local businesses, community groups, alumni, and other private donors. Contra Costa College Foundation Scholarships help assist students in paying higher education expenses when federal and state financial assistance is not enough. Unlike loans, scholarship funds do not have to be paid back.

These scholarships are for CCC students only. Scholarship funds are limited and are usually awarded on a competitive and/or special criteria basis such as GPA, academic major, or demonstrated volunteerism, leadership, or community service. Selections are usually made by the donor/organization based on these criteria.

The Contra Costa College Foundation Scholarships Application is a single application used to apply for multiple scholarships. The application is open between November and February annually for the following academic year, and selections are made by donors/organizations using the criteria described for the scholarships.

Support timing and post-award obligations are described through the scholarship example of the Kennedy-King Scholarship, which is an annual scholarship of $6,000 per year. Additional support duration details and any obligation after receiving funds are not provided for the broader Foundation Scholarships; selection and criteria are described, while duration beyond the example is not.

1. Use the single Contra Costa College Foundation Scholarships Application.
2. Complete the application during the period it is open between November and February annually for the following academic year.
3. Before starting the application, have the items listed handy: InSite Portal log in, the email address for ONE reference, and your unofficial CCCCD transcripts.
4. For the Kennedy-King Scholarship example (optional): attend one of the listed info sessions held from 1-2pm, or use the Kennedy-King website for more information.
5. If applying as an undocumented student for most of the Foundation Scholarships: submit the application by the annually stated March due date.
