Esterbrook Merit Award at Harvey Mudd College

The Esterbrook Merit Award is established through gifts from the Mildred E. and Harvey S. Mudd Foundation and the Caryll Mudd and Norman F. Sprague Jr. Foundation. Harvey Mudd College states that Esterbrook Scholars receive $25,000 annually. The scholarship recognizes an exceptionally talented student in the incoming first-year class.

Harvey Mudd College states that every first-year applicant will be considered for the Esterbrook Merit Award, including applicants who are not applying for financial aid. The award is for students enrolling for the first time in Fall.

Harvey Mudd College states that the scholarship will be automatically renewed at the end of a student’s first year. It will be renewed thereafter if the student maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress at the end of the student’s second and third years. Renewal also depends on eight consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment, with exceptions for study abroad or an approved leave of absence.
