Guggenheim Fellowship (Study for Free in USA and Canada)

The Guggenheim Fellowship is a mid-career award supporting the work of individuals who have made notable contributions to more than fifty fields across the arts, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and interdisciplinary areas. The Guggenheim Foundation selects Fellows through a rigorous competition that assesses past accomplishments and future plans.

The Fellowship is for mid-career professionals who have made notable contributions to their field. Applicants must propose a significant project and demonstrate they are prepared to complete it at the highest level of excellence. Applicants can apply as individuals or in pairs, working on the same project.

Selection is described as a rigorous competition. All applications that meet the eligibility requirements are sent to readers or jurors for full consideration, with multiple layers of review intended to be impartial, comprehensive, and confidential. The Foundation states it cannot provide feedback on applications.

• Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Canada.
• Applicants must be mid-career professionals who have made notable contributions to their field.
• Applicants must propose a significant project and demonstrate they are prepared to complete it at the highest level of excellence.
• Applicants must apply as individuals or in pairs (two individuals working on the same project).
• Individuals who have already received a Guggenheim Fellowship are not eligible.
• Students currently enrolled in secondary, undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate programs are not eligible.
• Organizations, institutions, or other established groups are not eligible.

• No fees are charged by the Guggenheim Foundation.

1. Use the referenced video for instructions on how to apply.
2. Create an application account using the faculty member’s own email address (applications cannot be submitted through university grant offices).
3. Complete the application, including selecting the one field most representative of the proposed project.
4. Submit the required work samples if the application indicates they are required in your field (upload to the application portal or postmark after the application portal closes, as applicable to your field).
5. Enter the names and contact information of a minimum of three and up to four references in the application.
6. Submit the application by the deadline; late applications are not accepted.
