Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships

Illinois Wesleyan University awards merit scholarships and other financial support for international students. Merit-based scholarships are offered to qualified international applicants with outstanding academic achievement and test scores on the required entrance exams, with students able to receive up to $38,000 per year.

Illinois Wesleyan defines international students as those who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. Students who complete the admissions application are automatically considered for merit scholarships. International students may also submit the CSS PROFILE to be considered for additional financial support from IWU.

Merit scholarships are based on academic achievement and test scores on the required entrance exams. For additional financial support, the CSS PROFILE provides a detailed analysis of an applicant’s financial resources and may be used to consider IWU-funded scholarships, loans, and campus-employment opportunities.

• Applicant must be an international student, defined as not a U.S. citizen and not a U.S. permanent resident.
• Merit scholarships: applicant must be a qualified international applicant with outstanding academic achievement and test scores on the required entrance exams.
