International Student Aid - New York Institute of Technology

New York Institute of Technology requires international students traveling from outside the United States to attend to provide an Affidavit of Support and a bank statement, both notarized, to demonstrate financial support.

New York Tech states that international students are not eligible for federal or state aid, but the university offers academic scholarships to international students that may cover partial tuition. The scholarship review covers the admissions application and scholarship eligibility for admission; graduate applicants must meet specified English test score minimums to receive scholarships.

The admissions committee reviews the application and supporting documents for admission and scholarship eligibility. If awarded, students receive an official award letter after receiving the acceptance package. Scholarships are awarded upon admission to New York Tech, not after arrival and enrollment.

• Graduate applicants must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 79, IELTS score of 6, PTE score of 53, or Duolingo score of 105 to receive scholarships, as well as specific requirements for certain awards.
• There is no separate application for scholarships.

• May cover partial tuition (academic scholarships to international students).
• Tuition is charged when registering for classes, and students can deduct any awarded scholarship amount from the tuition bill.
• Tuition bill is provided online through the Student Service HUB—Your Home for University Business via my.NYIT Portal.
• After deducting the scholarship amount, the remainder can be paid online by check, money order, or credit card, or via a monthly payment plan.
