LCC Foundation Scholarships

Lower Columbia College states that Foundation Scholarships are supported through scholarship applications for Cycle One and Cycle Two. Cycle One awards funding for the upcoming academic year, covering fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters. If a student misses Cycle One, Cycle Two provides funding for the winter, spring, and summer quarters of that same year.

LCC Foundation Scholarships are matched using a single general application. LCC lists criteria used to match scholarships, including program of study (example areas given include Business, Music, Nursing, STEM, and Vocational), merit measured by GPA, need based on Estimated Family Contribution as determined by FAFSA or WASFA, community service and or leadership, and enrollment status (part-time and full time).

LCC states that scholarship applications open in spring for Cycle One and in fall for Cycle Two, and that one general application uses applicant responses to match to criteria for each scholarship opportunity. Communication about offers is sent through the student’s LCC student email and by phone, and status updates are sent by email after Cycle One scholarships have been awarded.

1. Use the LCC Online Scholarship System to find and apply for LCC Foundation Scholarships.
2. Submit one general application, which uses applicant responses to match to criteria of each scholarship opportunity.
3. Keep contact information up to date in ctcLink (phone number and email) to receive scholarship notifications and updates.
4. Check LCC student email accounts for scholarship offers, since LCC states all communication is made via LCC student email beginning in December until all awards have been accepted.
