A.B. Ayers Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Martin Community College describes scholarships and grants as being available from public and private foundations, organizations, and businesses, with MCC also offering a limited number of institutional scholarships. For institutional scholarship selection, the MCC Financial Aid Director reviews all applications and presents candidates to the MCC Scholarship Committee based on the student’s academic record, financial need, and criteria set forth by the individual scholarships.

The A.B. Ayers Jr. Endowed Scholarship is part of MCC Foundation Scholarships. It is for candidates who have earned their GED from MCC and are enrolled in a Career and Technical Education program. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and remain in good academic standing.

For MCC institutional scholarships, MCC Financial Aid Director review leads to presentation of candidates to the MCC Scholarship Committee, which makes the final decision on scholarship awards.

The A.B. Ayers Jr. Endowed Scholarship provides one $500 scholarship awarded as $250 in fall semester and $250 in spring semester. Ongoing eligibility requires maintaining satisfactory academic progress and remaining in good academic standing.

1. Submit scholarship application materials when scholarship applications are posted on the MCC Scholarships page once the application period opens.
