Foundation for Reading Area Community College Scholarship

Reading Area Community College (RACC) awards scholarships through the Foundation for Reading Area Community College using financial aid and donor criteria. RACC states these scholarships are credited to students’ financial aid accounts and disbursed according to financial aid timelines and policies.

With one application, applicants are considered for one of over 125 different scholarships. The page includes examples such as Presidential Scholarships (full tuition scholarships for four semesters) and Career Program Scholarships (partial scholarships for short term career programs).

Selection is based on financial aid and donor criteria, and award amounts are determined on an annual basis by donor contributions, the Foundation Board of Directors, and the financial need of the student. • For Presidential Scholarships (full tuition scholarships for four semesters): eligible recipients must be current seniors in high school who will graduate.
• For Presidential Scholarships (full tuition scholarships for four semesters): eligible recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of application.
• Presidential Scholarships: RACC will award up to one scholarship per high school, including all 18 Berks County public high schools and Berks Catholic High School.
• Presidential Scholarships: one scholarship will be awarded to one homeschool, cyber school, or other Berks County student who will complete high school that year.
• Presidential Scholarships: two scholarships will be awarded to students participating in a JROTC Program at a Berks County high school.
• Career Program Scholarship: partial scholarships are available for students in the listed short term career programs at RACC.
