Rockford University International Student Scholarships

Rockford College provides International Undergraduate Student Scholarships to reward students who are academically dedicated and engaged in their educational experience. These scholarships are awarded each year to new international undergraduate first-year and transfer students who attend full-time. Scholarships are determined at admission, and there is no separate application process. GPA equivalencies are calculated on a 4.0 scale.

The scholarships cover international undergraduate first-year and transfer students who enroll full-time. Deans Scholarship, Academic Excellence Scholarship, Founders Award, Recognition Award, and Regent Award are each available based on an applicant’s equivalent GPA on a 4.0 scale. Rockford College also lists a Global Gateway Scholarship for international first-year and transfer students.

Scholarships are determined at admission with no separate application process. Merit-based scholarship eligibility depends on equivalent GPA ranges: Deans Scholarship (3.8 or higher), Academic Excellence Scholarship (3.40 to 3.799), Founders Award (3.0 to 3.399), Recognition Award (2.65 to 2.999), and Regent Award (below 2.65). Global Gateway Scholarship provides a fixed amount to eligible international first-year and transfer students.

Merit-based scholarships are renewable each year as long as a student is enrolled full-time and maintains a 2.0 grade point average. The Global Gateway Scholarship is renewable for four years. Merit-based scholarships cannot be combined with other scholarships (except the Global Gateway Scholarship), and state-sponsored scholars are ineligible for merit-based scholarships.

• Global Gateway Scholarship: $1000.
• Global Gateway Scholarship renewal: renewable for four years.
