Tulane University USA Scholarships

Tulane offers merit-based scholarships and need-based scholarships, and many awards are based on both need and merit (academic, athletic, or talent). Tulane states that most scholarships are renewable for your 4 years at Tulane. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to awards that cover full tuition or even full cost of attendance.

Tulane states that all applicants are considered for a partial merit scholarship by completing the Common Application for admission. While standardized test scores are not required, submitting them is preferred and may strengthen scholarship consideration. Tulane also describes full tuition and other merit scholarships that require additional steps beyond the admission application.

Tulane describes a scholarship consideration process requiring five steps for maximum consideration: complete the Common Application; complete the CSS Profile by Tulane’s financial aid deadlines (international students who are non-U.S. citizens should also complete Tulane’s Declaration & Certification of Finances); complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for U.S. citizens or eligible residents; submit supporting documentation when requested; and review Tulane’s testing policy and, if applicable, submit standardized test scores (testing is not required, but scores are preferred).

Tulane states that partial tuition scholarships require no special application and are awarded by the admission office based on the strength of the admission application within the context of a given year’s applicant pool.
