University of Minnesota Duluth International Student Scholarship

The University of Minnesota Duluth offers the International Student Scholarship to support international students’ enrollment. Prospective students must complete an application for admission before the Regular Decision Deadlines to be considered. The award is up to $20,000 over four years, paid as $5,000 annually.

The scholarship is for undergraduate, degree-seeking international students in active, non-immigrant temporary visa status. Students who qualify for a tuition reduction or waiver are ineligible. Students previously attended a college or university may receive the award for three years, while new high school students may receive it for four years, subject to renewal criteria.

Renewal is contingent on maintaining a 3.0 cumulative University of Minnesota (U of M) GPA and full-time undergraduate status. The scholarship is renewable annually based on these renewal criteria.

To be eligible, students must have a completed application for admission on file by May 1 (fall) and by October 15 (spring). The page includes an email address for the Admissions Office for additional guidance on eligibility questions.
