WVC Foundation Fall Application Period

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation awards over 200 scholarships annually. The scholarships include three application periods during the academic year (fall, winter, and spring). The stated purpose is to award scholarships to eligible students who apply during the open application periods.

All current WVC students are eligible to apply for scholarships, including part-time students. The eligibility section also states that all new and continuing students who plan to attend Wenatchee Valley College during the current academic year are eligible to apply. Applicants are automatically considered for all scholarships they are eligible for.

Applications are accepted three times a year (fall, winter, and spring). The online application at WVC AwardSpring requires account registration and includes general information, academic information, financial information, qualification questions, transcript upload, and five essay questions (up to 140 words each). Award notifications are sent six to eight weeks after the quarterly deadline.

Scholarships are awarded for one academic year. Award amounts vary based on available annual funding and a review of each student’s unmet cost of attendance, as determined by the Financial Aid office. Applicants who receive a scholarship during the current academic year do not need to apply again until the following academic year. Many scholarships are renewable, with notifications sent in the summer to eligible recipients.

1. 1. Apply during one of the open application periods using the online application at WVC AwardSpring: wvc.awardspring.com.
2. 2. Register for an AwardSpring account when starting the online application, and use a valid email address.
3. 3. Complete the application, which includes general information, academic information, financial information, qualification questions, transcript upload, and five essay questions (up to 140 words each).
4. 4. After submitting the application, check your email because award notifications and other critical information are sent to the email listed on the application.
5. 5. If awarded, submit a follow-up form through AwardSpring as part of the process to confirm acceptance and keep scholarship donors informed.
6. 6. If you received a scholarship during the current academic year, do not submit another application until the following academic year.
