Troy State University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Troy State University is a public university in the United States offering undergraduate and graduate study across a small catalogue of 14 programmes. It suits applicants who want a limited set of subject choices, including some professional and online options, rather than a very large university menu.

  2. What you can study

Study options include Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree programmes. Example areas include Accountancy, Professional Accountancy, Professional Accountancy - Online, Art - BFA, Art, Bilingual/ESL, Biology - BS, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Criminal Justice Administration, Education, and Electrical Engineering.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through the university’s official admissions process and check the website for entry requirements, document lists, deadlines, and whether their chosen programme has any extra conditions. The admissions office can confirm any programme-specific requirements and the latest application steps.

  4. What it costs

Tuition is not published in the information available, so confirm the current rate with the admissions office. Living costs will depend on your housing, food, transport, and personal spending in the local area, so plan separately for those expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published, so check the official website before applying. If you are moving from abroad, confirm visa steps, document translation or evaluation requirements, programme availability, and whether your chosen course is on campus or online.

  6. How it compares

With 2,515 universities in the United States, Troy State University sits in a very crowded national market and stands out more for its small programme count than for breadth. That makes it a more focused option for applicants who already know they want one of its listed subjects, rather than students looking for a wide catalogue.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
